Methodology
Eklavya School adopts a
mix of methodologies to make the process of learning more
effective and fun filled. Learning is not just limited to
classroom teaching, but uses a wide array of methods.
These include textbooks, audio-visual material,
worksheets, and the Internet, projects as
well as educational visits and lots of hands on
experience. The school invites experts (including
parents) to speak to the children on their areas of work.
Learning goes much beyond
the chalk and talk method. One of the ways of
reinforcing and evaluating math concepts learnt in grade
2 is to take them to the supermarket wherein they have to
buy a list of items required amounting to Rs. 50.
Its a joy to see them read prices and analyze
whether it would fit into their budget, wondering whether
to add three items costing the same or multiply.
