Objects and things from classroom,
their height, pencil and many visual objects. And also by giving real life
situation related their environments. |
My role |
First I will
measure size of black board and some more objects with my hand and arm. After
that I will ask children to measure same things. I will write all record on
board. After that I will ask them to measure their own height with fingers, arm
and with threat. Why standard
measurement is important in our life? What you can think if there is no standard
measurement. How early men face the problem without measurement? Or how they
measure their things etc? Here children will
understand that what is standard measurement and non standard measurement and
its important. Then children will say different methods of measure different
things. They will also say that how many types of equipment are available in
market. Where they find people use these tools. How they measure their things?

Children’s Activity: |
Children will measure many things in the class and outside the class and during their practical work they might come to know that it is not possible to measure all things with same equipment. Like to measure liquids you can not measure with rule or scale you have to use other equipment similarly to know your weight you have to use different equipment. Each equipment has its name and its reader. |
What children will gain | Here children are learning different way to do measurement. Children will show their curiosity at school and at home to know things which can be use for measurement. |
Homework |
Ask the children what are the equipment use for making their cloths, buying fruits for them, a glass of milk etc. |
